401 layers (Damascus) steel
65 HRC - brilliant elegance

The 401 layers of flexible Damascus steel enclose a cutting layer made of one of the purest carbon steels ever. This guarantees maximum sharpness and an exceptional hardness of 65 HRC. Thanks to the flexible Damascus steel on the outside, the hard cutting layer in the middle is less susceptible to breakage. The perfect combination of hardness and flexibility.

Nesmuk Exclusive C150 chef's knife blade

100% Handmade

The C150 blades are ground entirely by hand in order to be able to carve out the cutting layer perfectly and centrally. The double-sided, faceted hollow grind is a very demanding work step in terms of craftsmanship that requires skill and a steady hand. Only the best knifemakers with many years of experience carry out this work at the Nesmuk manufactory.

Exceptional hardness and sharpness

From fire welding and forging, hardening, tempering and grinding the hollow grind to assembling the handle. The production of a Nesmuk EXKLUSIV knife takes almost four dozen steps. The result is exceptional sharpness.

NPC coating
Corrosion resistant thanks to
Nesmuk Protective Coating

Thanks to the glass-like NPC coating (Nesmuk Protective Coating) developed together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology, the Nesmuk EXKLUSIV blades are protected against corrosion.

The cutting bevel of the blade is not coated. Therefore, you should always clean your Nesmuk EXKLUSIV knife after use. Clean the blade with detergent and under running water, dry well afterwards.

Cutting layer made of
pure carbon steel

High concentration, over many hours or even days, is required to carve out the cutting layer of finest carbon steel, which can be seen black under wild damascus - a feat of craftsmanship that only a few blacksmiths in the world have mastered to perfection.

Good cooks have respect for
food.

Factory farming. Mass cultivation. Mass production. - Quantity instead of quality. We live in an "abundance and throwaway society" that has forgotten how to properly value what feeds us. This starts with production, continues with processing and ends with consumption.

Good cooks have respect for food. They have the necessary respect and work with the utmost care and dedication. Respect is also reflected in the high craftsmanship, quality and sharpness of Nesmuk knives. Numerous top chefs around the world support Nesmuk's attitude as ambassadors: giving food the respect it deserves.

Care instructions

Hand-forged damask knives usually require extensive care to prevent them from rusting. All Nesmuk EXCLUSIVE knives are finished with the exclusive NPC coating (Nesmuk Protective Coating). NPC is a silicon coating only a few micrometers thick, which is applied using microwave-generated plasmas and permanently preserves the blade. The seeming end of the knife is not coated and can therefore tarnish and, if not cared for, rust. Therefore, do not leave your Nesmuk EXKLUSIV in liquids for too long. Rinse and dry your knife after use.
We recommend regularly sharpening the edge with a suitable, fine sharpener such as the Nesmuk strop. This maintains the sharpness and protects against tarnishing or rusting of the edge. We recommend maintaining the blade from time to time with an acid-free oil, such as our camellia oil.
