Even the best knives lose their sharpness over time. Use causes rounding as well as microscopic chipping on the cutting edge - the knife becomes dull. All Nesmuk knives are made from ultra-fine steel grades that enable extreme sharpness. Conventional sharpening methods such as knife sharpeners and sharpening rods are not suitable for exploiting the full potential of the steel types exclusively processed by Nesmuk. For this purpose, Nesmuk has developed strops that are optimally matched to the special features of Nesmuk knives.
