Markus Pape, an accomplished chef with roots in the picturesque Sauerland region, draws his inspiration from the hearty dishes of his childhood. Influenced by his grandmother's lovingly prepared pea soups and apple pancakes, which used fruit from the family garden, he developed a deep appreciation for the culinary treasures of the garden.
Markus perfected his craft in renowned kitchens, including the Hotel zur Post and under the guidance of renowned chefs Jean-Claude Bourgueil and Dieter Müller, who gave him the tools for his culinary career.
Chef Pape has been responsible for the culinary delights at Meisenheimer Hof since 2014. There, he celebrates regional cuisine and honors his grandmother's traditions by treating his guests to local delicacies - a tribute to the simple yet rich flavors of his childhood.
