Tanja Grandits

Tanja Grandits has created her perfect world at the "Stucki" restaurant in Basel - a microcosm of smiles, flavors and the joy of food. Ultimately, this is what distinguishes the best female chef in Switzerland: The ability to do exactly what she thinks is right and thereby inspire those around her - guests, employees or professional colleagues. "The most important thing I have learned in my life as a woman, cook or mother is to do what I think is right," says the cook and book author (most recently published: "Tanja vegetarian"). She has been self-employed since 2001 and Grandits now runs a small business with over 40 employees. In 2014 she was awarded for the first time as "Chef of the Year", followed by the second award as "Chef of the Year 2020" of the "GaultMillau", with 19 points and 2 stars the two most important guides award her. The "Stucki" is a top restaurant, delicatessen and catering service and Tanja Grandits holds it together with culinary intelligence, a good gut feeling and a cheerful laugh.

"Stucki" - This name pays tribute to Hans Stucki, the legendary predecessor of Tanja Grandits. In the midst of a magnificent historic villa, guests are welcomed in a stylish ambience. The international service team, led by the dedicated maître Grégory Rohmer, serves guests charmingly, effectively and with a professionalism that avoids stiff formalities. Our experienced sommelier team offers an exquisite selection from our impressive wine cellar. Culinarily, Tanja Grandits presents her unique touch on every plate. Her signature style is defined by the subtle use of flowers, leaves and vibrant colors. Dishes such as "Fennel Essence, Carabineros, Yuzu Relish" convince with clear structures and authentic flavors without ever seeming overloaded. In the evening, guests can enjoy a nine-course menu (including vegetarian options), while a reduced selection is offered at lunchtime. In summer, our garden terrace invites you as a real refuge. We also recommend our small store where you can discover teas, spices, dressings and more.
