Pink Ribbon

The pink ribbon "Pink Ribbon" stands today worldwide as an unmistakable symbol in the awareness against breast cancer. The aim is to jointly raise awareness of breast cancer. After all, with hardly any other cancer is early detection so important for the chances of a cure. The disease primarily affects women. And those around them are also indirectly affected. Almost all of us know people who have breast cancer. And for those affected, it is often very important, especially when people are confronted with deep cuts in their familiar life situation, to keep focusing on the beautiful sides of life - which is also what this campaign stands for.

Diamond-like carbon - the
protective shield for the blade

The unmistakable hallmark of the JANUS collection is the black blade - symbol of the highest quality and functionality thanks to the finishing with the high-quality DLC technology (Diamond-Like-Carbon). As a special coating for the highest stress, it optimizes the functional properties of the blade. The carbon coating, which is only a few micrometers thick, is insensitive to acids, bases and extreme temperatures and is characterized by low friction values and enormous scratch resistance. This makes the Janus series a hand-flattering piece of work for the discerning.

Sharp and

The outstanding cutting properties of the JANUS and SOUL collections cannot be achieved with conventional stainless steel grades. Nesmuk therefore developed a very special type of steel processing that ensures unrivaled sharpness and durability at the same time. Unusually thin-ground blades, precision craftsmanship: this is how Nesmuk creates some of the lightest and sharpest knives in the world.

The all-rounder in
the kitchen

The chef's knife with a 180 mm long and 3 mm thick blade, hollow ground on one side, is the classic all-rounder and indispensable and versatile as a "basic knife" in every kitchen. In addition, the blade is approx. 30 g lighter - for perhaps the lightest chef's knife in the world.

The cutting bevel has the classic V-grinding. This means that it can be used by both right-handed and left-handed users without any problems.

Aesthetic and ergonomic

Ergonomic and solid handles for fatigue-free work: The design of the Nesmuk handle is as aesthetic as it is practical. For the wooden handles, Nesmuk uses only the best, often hand-picked pieces of exquisite quality. With wood as a naturally grown material, each handle is unique due to its individual grain, color shades and inclusions.

Good cooks have respect for

Factory farming. Mass cultivation. Mass production. - Quantity instead of quality. We live in an "abundance and throwaway society" that has forgotten how to properly value what feeds us. This starts with production, continues with processing and ends with consumption.

Good cooks have respect for food. They have the necessary respect and work with the utmost care and dedication. Respect is also reflected in the high craftsmanship, quality and sharpness of Nesmuk knives. Numerous top chefs around the world support Nesmuk's attitude as ambassadors: giving food the respect it deserves.

Care instructions

Avoid sliding the blade scabbard sideways over the base. Do not jam the blade in the cutting surface or in hard material to be cut. Avoid hard contacts on bones or similar as well as unnecessary pressure when cutting. These types of use will cause blades to dull more quickly.
The patented blade steel with the rare element niobium makes Nesmuk knives particularly sharp and gives them greater resistance and therefore a longer service life. Due to its special composition, however, this steel is not completely corrosion resistant and tends to tarnish. This is completely harmless to health and can be partially removed by polishing. We recommend not to leave your SOUL in acidic or salty liquids and to rinse and dry it after use.
The Nesmuk Steak and Table Knife SOUL and the Nesmuk Folder SOUL are suitable for use on harder surfaces due to their special purpose as cutlery knives. Due to the adapted design, only the tip of the knife makes contact when used correctly, and the cutting edge therefore remains sharp for a very long time. Here, too, hard contacts of the cutting edge should be avoided.
